Vertical Conveyor
Vertical conveyors allow changes in elevation to be undertaken with a minimal amount of floor space. Norpak offers both reciprocating and continuous verticals. A reciprocating vertical uses a single platform mounted conveyor to travel between levels. Multiple infeed and discharge points are possible as are left or right hand loading. The carriage must discharge its cargo then return to a loading point before it can accept another. This limits product throughput.
A continuous vertical uses a series of platforms to convey product from one level to another. Higher product handling rates are achievable but with a decrease in the loading/unloading flexibility found in a reciprocating unit.
