Higher Throughput Automatic Sortation
Higher throughput systems typically include devices such as sliding shoe, tilt tray and cross belt sorters. Other sorters such as a comb type or bomb bay may also be used dependent upon the size of product being handled. Higher throughput systems typically handle products at rates in excess of 6000 articles/hour.
Each type of sorter has its own advantages/disadvantages for any application. What may seem to be a more costly solution may turn out to be less expensive when viewed as a “systems” solution.
ProSort 131 High Speed Sortation Conveyor (Small Items): Designed for high-speed sorting of products which may be too small to be sorted on concentional shoe sorters. Small fragile items or groups of items can be sorted with ease. Products are transported on high strength, anodized aluminum slats. At a predetermined location, divert shoes move diagonally across the coveyor to push the product onto a take-away line. Right or left hand diverts available.
