Lower Throughput Automatic Sortation
Lower throughput systems typically handle products at rates up to 6000 articles/hour. The actual speed of operation is governed by the size of the article being handled.
There is a wide variety of sorters available including pushers and blade type, transveyors, flat belt, swivel wheel, and vertical belts. As in any sorter application, it is critical that proper attention be given to the design of the system as a whole rather than to the particular device being used
ProSort SC1 & SC2 Horizontal Belt Sortation Conveyors: The belt concept provides a reliable method of tracking packages to the divert stations. Take-away spurs may be skatewheel-type or powered-type slaved from the main sorter. Right hand, left hand or two-sided diverts available.
Pusher/Diverter Sortation: A light duty pusher is designed to easily mount to the side on many conveyors models. It provides an economical solution for pushing lightweight products off at a right angle to product flow. High speed pusher provides high speed automatic product diversion. Product may be diverted 90 degrees onto another conveyor, chute, etc.
Pivoting Wheel Diverters: Single and Double Powered Pivot Diverter are designed for use with accumulation conveyors. Products are automatically diverted onto adjacent 30 degree spur lines.
Lineshaft Right Angle Transfers: O-Ring & Reversing O-Ring Transfers are used to move products at right angles to adjacent or parallel conveyor lines. An air bag lifts the transfer mechanism while powered O-Rings transfer the product.
